Government Representation at Three Levels…Representatives at all three levels of the association interact regularly with elected officials and bureaucrats ensuring that when decisions are made, those making them are informed.
Communication… The “NHBA Update” promptly faxed/emailed keeps you informed of industry issues. The NHBA Web Site links member services and products to the consumer.
Networking…Opportunities to stay in touch and develop new relationships are available by attending general meetings, social functions and participating in committee projects. Information is available in OHBA and CHBA publications, seminars and annual provincial and national conferences.
Industry Advocacy…NHBA actively participates through a number of municipal and regional liaison committees organized to represent the interests of the Association related to building and development issues within our region.
Dinner Meetings… NHBA members meet seven times a year. An excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, keep informed on the latest issues affecting the industry and association activities.
Branding…The NHBA logo identifies you and your company as an industry professional. Association members use their membership and the distinctive logo to set themselves apart from part-timers, “tail-gaters” and underground contractors.
Learning and Development… through education seminars, construction related courses, training/certification courses, and builder & renovator forums.

As a not-for-profit organization, members are involved in the many aspects of the association: Serving on the Board of Directors; As Committee leaders- planning continuing Educational & Training Seminars, monthly informative Dinner Meetings, promoting the RenoMark™ program, Health & Safety, and Membership; Working together results in the success of the Awards of Excellence, the ever-popular Christmas Dinner Party, and Annual Golf Classic.
